X51V or X50V?

hello all.

I'm having some trouble deciding between X50V and 51V.
the X51v has minor upgrades... but from what I hear the only difference is the ROM size..?

also not sure about this new WM2005 deal. seems like most people are staying away from it. so if I get the X51v, will it be able to run WM2003SE?

:approve:

I used to have a X30 High :approve:

No, you can't.

I prefer WM5 and hope they fix it soon.
I'd go with the X51v if you want the more memory and the latest device.

Go with thi X50v if you want the more stable system with the option to go to WM5.

Differences:
1) X50v has backup battery, 51 doesn't (and doesn't need it due to WM5)
2) X51v has 256 MB of ROM instead of 128 MB
3) X51v has WM5 instead of WM 2003SE

Get x51v. It's stupid to get x50v at this point unless you can get a much better deal. Software problems can be fixed (and I've had almost none, wm5 runs great and fast), but hardware can't. x51v will run WM5 better than x50v, I imagine, since it was designed for it.

The x50v w/wm2003se is stable. You can always upgrade to wm5 when they get that mess sorted out. As far as a little extra rom is involved, it won't make a big difference if you're having all kinds of os problems.

Future investment, go with x51v...so far I had no big problem with it, earlier I had a lot since I tried to install all software that I can get....but now I keep it to minimum based on my usage..a PDA...and no problem till now and happy with it
