The Ultimate X51v Setup, Need Suggestions
Hey guys,
First post here, just found you guys. Here's the deal, for my work I can write off PDA's as a business expense and starting on the new year I have the full amount to spend. So, I'm ready to get hooked up with the x51v. I don't want to go crazy on price, don't want to get rediculous, so if I could get some discounts that would be good (the 20% deal seams good, and I have a $45 off 400 from the Dell Game that I think'll work, any others would be awesome)
Now, here are some of the things I'd like to get, but if you think I shouldn't get one (not worth it) or should get something else let me know.
-Good battery, is an extended battery worth it?
-Case, want a good stylish, light one. Or should I just get screen protectors?
-I want GPS, but I don't know which one and what programs, etc. I'm a noob, just tell me what to get for the GPS.
-Extra Pack of Stylus
-What's the difference between the two different usb cradles? Which should I get?
-Is a keyboard useful?
-Do you guys get the warranty? And do you also get complete care?
-And once again, if there are any other useful accessories, let me know!
I know this is your guys' cup of tea and I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks!

I would suggest goolge "dell coupons" and find some coupon sites to get better deals.
I would also suggest you to add the TO BT keyboard to your list of things to buy.

Does the x51v come with any type of case at all? I don't really want to buy a hard case, and I was hoping if it came with one, that it would be sufficient.

Get extended battery, it's almost needed if you want to make it through the whole day if you use Wifi or BT a lot.
For GPS get TomTom 5 + BT-338 BT GPS Reciever off of www.buygpsnow.com
For a Case get a Senacase off of www.senacases.com
Completecare warrenty is NECESSARY if you even want to own a PDA. Trust me, you'll love me in the future .
Thinkoutside Bluetooth keyboard and Mouse is pretty useful if you type a lot with your mobile electronics. I'm actually typing this up with my BT keyboard and Mouse right now.
A BOxwave screen protector is a MUST if you dont want scratches on your screen
www.boxwave.com
Cradles are pretty much the same
Extra stylus is not needed unless you tend to lose things. I lost mine :(, i'm going to get like a box of them just in case.
Hope that helps

Alright, the main thing is that I want to buy most of the products off of Dell because if I don't I have to pay for it (not as good lol)
For the GPS, which of the two would you recommend that Dell makes? And would I still use the Tom-Tom software.
Can you buy the x51v with just the extended battery, and not have to buy the normal one and buy the additional 2200mah battery?
Would the Rhinoskin case w/ extended battery support be fine for a case?
Which screen protector from that site do you recommend. Does the anti-glare one actually let you see the screen in daylight?

Welcome to the site Ryboy. Do you have an unlimited budget? All the stuff you want is great, but it'll add up. But if you can get it you'll have the ultimate pda.

Spending so much, I sometimes wonder why not an ultra portable laptop? Sure it may be more expensive but if you're buying so many accessories anyways. Also the laptop will do everything better. Okay, maybe not as pocketable or the battery lasts that long. I dont know but the TO keyboard and mouse are essential. The Boxwave screen protectors are also the best you can get. As for battery, you must get an extended. Case, I feel very safe with the soft case as it is secure and slim so it will fit in my pockets. The design is simple enough to look good. With your unlimited budget, get a 4 GB CF card (or maybe 8) and a 2 GB SD.
Merry Christmas!
