Mad Problem Deleting Corrupted Files (weird file names)

Hi.

I'm using X50v upgraded to WM5, with latest ActiveSync.

Recently I just discovered that the files under Windows\ActiveSync and Application Data\Volatile are corrupted. The PPC thinks they have GBs (yes, its 1000MB) of sizes and I couldn't delete them as they have 'invalid names' (weird characters)

If this happened under windows, at least I could use Command Prompt and delete *.* or even chkdsk /f. But with this headache PPC, I'm at my wit's end. What I did was to do a troublesome hardreset and restore.

But my nightmare still not ended. Today I found that under Windows\ActiveSync they exist 5 files and 3 folders with the name of a single SQUARE character.. something like the previous case. I couldn't delete them as well...

I'm tired to do restoration again... Can someone shed some light on how to deal with this type of problems? Or anyway to use command prompt to access PPC?

Thankx!

Try hard resetting your pocket pc. Check to see if the file is gone, it should be. Then restore the back-up you have. Also, these files can't be gigs if they are on your pocket pc, and not on a card. Does start, settings, memory on ur pocket pc show low memory. RAM and ROM combined of the x50v isn't even a gig. I'd try a hard reset, because that should delete it. I think the ppc has the file size wrong, and you probly don't have to worry much about it, unless it is doing something to ur ppc.

I would expect that most file managers could remove them. I have never had any files under the \Application Data\Volitile\ directory, and never more than three files under \Windows\Activesync\. Currently those three files are:
  • ErrorD.htm @ 243B
  • GCounterFile.mmf @ 10K
  • SchedSync.dat @ 28B

nope, the files can neither be removed nor renamed. I even tried to delete the ActiveSync containing folder, but it just didn't work.

Edited:
I used Resco explorer and stock File Explorer but both didn't work
