Bluetooth Stack

Hello, i recently bought an Axim x51v and i've read around and realised that currently the x51v A04 firmware (which doesn't appear that different from A00) doesn't support much in terms of the bluetooth stack. I used to be able to browse the folders on my Nokia 6230 via bluetooth with an A620BT running WM 2003, however this isn't supported in the current WM5 version i'm using. Is there any third party software that will enable me to browse my mobile via bluetooth and will Dell be releasing a new firmware ROM that has a better bluetooth stack (one that's actually useful).

Also, after enabling the full vga mode on my axim, i've noticed that some of the text is somewhate oversized, (for example, when surfing with pocket internet explorer the URL is too big to be fully visible in the http bar) Is there any way i can alter this, or can somebody provide some better settings that make it looks more visually appealing. Thanks for any help, dave.

Sorry, you will have to bug Dell about the bluetooth stack. Currently, there is no solution for this.

(although it is conceivable that the broadcom bluetooth stack can be hacked out of the HP4700 WM5.. anyone dare?)

surely dell will be addressing this problem in the next A05 firmware? However it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't, but it is really starting to annoy me as i've lost the ability to transfer pictures, send sms, back up contacts etc. Is there a feasible way to downgrade to a WM 2003 SE ROM with a better bluetooth stack?

You're In luck in the sence that you own an x51v, which is the dell flagship device. it is still in Dell's best financial interest to fix this stuff...

I never knew it was possible to sync adresses over BT, that's cool to crave... can it sync alarms too? (a vibration alarm beats beeps any day imho..)

I guess our best course of action is to repeatedly bug dell about this..

As for downgrading, the process is dicey at best.. it is definitely not supported officially (so you might brick your device and take it out of warranty in one strike...) plus with no backup battery your device will be very prone to amnesia... when the battery dies, so does your data....

You can send business cards etc via bluetooth which is pretty useful, i used to be able to back up my contacts this way. How long will it be before dell releases the next ROM?
