X51v Questions and Concerns

I have been oggling this site for the last month or so, learning about the communities love for the x51v and the concerns it also shares. I have some questions of my own which I have noted in other threads, but not having seen any definitive conclusions, I'll re-ask them here:

1) Optimization:
I want my Axim to run at max processor speed when I have it on. I have set it so in the "POWER" section, but yesterday, after I thought I had placed the 51v in hibernation, I found my batteries completely drained at the end of the day.

2) Deactivation, Sleep Mode & Hibernation:
I have the standard Dell Battery. I plan to change this in the coming months. The Alarms are the most essential feature for me for my Axim. The outlook events with the reminders and the actual alarms themselves

3) SD Card Issues:
I've also seen this little gem around the board. I installed Handmark's Monopoly to my SD card, and from time to time, I am unable to access the program.

In summation, it should be obvious that I am a crossover user from PalmOne's product line. Using the PPC is a new experience for me. I am aware that when I click the power button to the top of the screen that I can have the unit turn off completely, but I WANT my alarms and clock to be using the MAIN battery and really nothing else. I don't want any other programs using the system at all. I want the system to wake up when the alarms are scheduled to go off.

I love Monopoly. I bought it, I think for 5$ a long long time ago. Wrote the folks at Handmark and they allowed me to exchange my license from Palm to PPC!

IF you haven't done it yet... the Dell ROM update will fix your battery drain in one day problem. Take care.

Ok, I flipped through Dell's site and installed :Dell Axim X51v VGA System Update for Windows Mobile Version 5.0: -- this will fix the SD and the Battery issues?

I imagine this would warrant its own thread. Good luck friend!

wshinds... yes it is a fix for the battery, Mem card, white screen of death issue. I still get the occasional white screen of death but not half as often. In other words, no windows product is completely fixed but the update makes the X51v so much more enjoyable to use. US early owners went through months of grief before the update. Keep us posted on your Axim issues.
