X50V: Can WM2005 be downgraded to 2003 (to support Sprints CF2031)

I want to use Sprints CF2031 data card on my X50v. It won't run on versions higher than WM2003.

If anyone is using the card on WM2005, I would like to hear about it.

Yes, it can. Actually WM5 has a common problem with the cards - card "disappears" from the system and requires a soft reset to be seen back. On my opinion it is so annoying that I have downgraded my x50v back to WM2003. Here is a relevant link to Dell: http://support.dell.com/support/topi...=19&s=dhs#x50v

Why do you want a CF card? You can get more use and faster speeds out of a new Power Vision phone from Sprint. You could tether it via bluetooth. I could set you up with an awesome plan including unlimited vision for $30/month. PM me for more details.

This is an interesting offer and attracted my attention as a manager for a sprintpcs store. Our lowest offered plan is 29.99 month and power vision is $15/mo without pictures/video/sprint tv, How are you going to get that plan down to $30 including unlimmited vision. FYI to viewers data usage as of dec 12th is .02/kbit and powervision does not permit you to tether w/ bluetooth. Sprint has a tethering option available at $25 for 40mb to cap out at $70 or $80 for excessive usage.

You get one month free of powervison with a new plan. After that your MRC is Minimum $44.99 with PV(evdo) That will get you 200-300 minutes daytime.ul nwd 9pm depending on your market

I do agree with your statement about the Yiso CF card as it is a battery hog and sluggish on 3g vision up to 144kbps(about twice dial up speed) Also keep in mind that powervision(EVDO) is definately not available everywhere and it will fall back to basic speed.
