Dell's/WM5's "Data Backup" Q: Does it restore programs?

About to do a hard reset, just because I've "tested a lot of crap" and now I want to clean up and get just what I want in there. I've done a "data backup" via the Data Backup utility that comes with the Ax X51v device. So, if I do a restore, what does it actually restore? I don't want it to restore programs, just backup data in my documents and my PIM info.

Should I just forget the restore, and just do an ActiveSynch to get everything back?

Ry.

IF you did a full backup it will restore everything (including installed programs) If you did only a PIM backup only PIM will be restored. The good thing about a program such as Sprite Backup is that you can customize more of what is actually backs up.
