ActiveSync - supports multiple PDAs on one desktop?

I would like to back up my wife's X51cv on the same computer that I use to back up my X50v. Will ActiveSync recognize two different PDAs without mixing them up?

Related question: If the answer to the above is yes, will it also work if we have different releases of Windows Mobile? My wife's PDA has Mobile 5.0 installed. I'm using 3.0. (I have the upgrade. I've just been reluctant to install it).

Thanks in advance to anyone who's done this.

Hi,
Yes it will works, I have 3 PDA on the same computer, Casio E125, Axim X30 and X51V.
The only problem I have is with the X51V, I have to shutdown my firewall in order for it to synchronize. Otherwie it wont.
I have no problem at all, with the two other PDA's

If you want to keep your data separate then you will need to create separate Outlook profiles (under Mail in Control Panel) or just use different logins for Windows.

By different names, do you mean the "Owner Information" in the Personal tab under Settings? Other than entering my name and phone number, I don't recall specifically naming the device.

Thanks.

Is this the case when one device is using AS 4.1 and the other is using AS 3.8? When I installed AS 4.1, it wrote over AS 3.8, so right now I can't sync my older device.
