Well I typed up a whole paragraph and my comp crashed. Ill do it again. here it goes...
If you use your axim heavily. For instance, whatch movies off of SD/CF cards all the time, browse the internet using WIFI/Bluetooth dialup, listen to music a lot. Use PIM features all day, have 50+ programs installed, and are not having any problems at all, then DO NOT UPGRADE, because you got lucky.
On the other hand, however, if you use it lightly and are not sure, or ARE having problems, update immediately.
That might depend on how long they have been in a warehouse or store right?

I got my second unit a while after ROM Version A04 was released and it still had ROM Version A01 & Hardware Revision A00. It all depends (as Sgt X51v suggested) on whether you get a unit fresh off the assembly line, or one that has been sitting in a warehouse for a while. There's no way to know or choose which you get until you get it.

Reason I ask is that we're running test groups with these corporately, and have the deep "ins" at Dell, and have been told the next ROM will not be issued until mid first quarter '06. If it's out sooner, the company will be all over it because of issues in the tests...
