50v sluggish in ActiveSync with WM5.0

I just updated my Axim 50v to WM5.0. Installing my favourite programs now seems to take forever. The Axim uses a long period of time to copy the stuff over to my Axim and is slow on installation. I did the cache updates that people where talking about, but this does not seem to be the problem. What I notice is that ActiveSync is always trying to sync and is taking up a lot of resources.

Any ideas?

Follow ALL the steps carefully, including the "fake server" hack.

I believe some of sluggishness are caused by the "filesys.exe" discussed near the end of the thread. I have that problem too and all I can do is to wait for the ROM update unless someone figure out a solution.

I applied the others before, and now I added the fake server hack. Hopefully this will make a difference.
