Video Playback on x51v

Dear fellow Aximers,

right now whenever I want to send a video clip file to my x51v I right click on it and select Add to SyncList. This way the file is first converted within Windows Media Player to *.wmv and then sent to the PPC.

Is this the recommended way of viewing video files in x51v? What are the conversion rules? And more importantly, does the conversion process take note that I've got a VGA screen, and it should downsize an 800x600 clip to 640x480 and not 320x240? In other words, if I have a 640x480 clip on my PC will I see it in the same resolution on my x51v?

I will try to find and install a different player for *.wmv, which displays resolution information for the clip, in contrast to Mobile Windows Media Player 10.

Thank you, and happy new year!
Ari.

Quick note on the Video. The Axim can play videos in several formats:
1-.wmv - You can use Windows Media Encoder/WMP10 as player
2-Divx/Xvid (.avi) you use pocketdivxencoder/ TCPMP player
3-.mpg /PocketTV to play
4-m4v, mp4 (iTune video) Videodora encoder/ TCPMP player

Just use TCPMP for everything. No need to sync anything, just copy video over and play.
