Question Is it worth the upgrade cost? 50v to 51v

Hi,

I did a quick search and didn't come up with anything meaningful.

I'm a non-stop user of my x50v:
WebIS Mail, PI, PIE, etc... I spend more time on my PDA than I do on my desktop @ home.

So the big question is, is it really worth it to sell my 50v and buy a 51v since we can get them for pretty cheap right now.

What's the big difference? Seems the memory increase is storage only, no real speed difference, and WM5 (not exactly rock solid ATM).

Thanks!! :approve:

I'd say screw the x51v. Due to the numerous problems with WM5, it doesn't make sense to upgrade. Spend some money on buying another SD/CF Card and VOILA, more memory!

Wait until WM5 is running properly and then upgrade your x50v.....until then, enjoy having a PDA that WORKS! :D

You are running on a platform that is stable and gets the job done. If you use it constantly like you say you do - and depend on it, don't upgrade until you HAVE TO. There's just too many ways to enhance the existing system without having to upgrade it. (Larger storage media, etc.). Suggest you STAY PUT.

For the X50v, its not a big upgrade to go to an X51v. I would just skip it and go to the next device when it comes out, most likely in fall. Get the best milage out of your current device now.

I don't think you'll get anything more out of the X51. It sounds like your X50 is doing a great job. Hang in there for the next version.

I think the poll speaks for itself.

X50v -> X51v = waste of money.
