Domme, I still have the problem described above in the quote. Suppose I manage to get a COM (RS232) cable for my Axim, would it be possible to flash back the original WM2003 bootloader using software like MTTY for example. If anyone else has any idea about that please let me know as I am desperate. I have a brand new X50v that is dead and here in my country that is a huge loss given the price at which I have purchased it.

MMC cards do not work with the SD loader. You will need an SD card.

sorry for the offtopicism but..
i think i screwed up my x50v!
i wanted to write a new wm2003se BL so i did that exactly as domme discribed...

but... as .nb0 file i used a .img wm2003se file downloaded from dell.com [r115117]...
i changen the name and the extension as needed.

the proccess seem to go well and i got the final messege "flash update complete, reset your machine" something like that.. and from the moment i pressed the reset button my axim isnt responding to anything, hard/soft reset, nothing. the only thing that works is the charching led when i connect it to the AC adapter...

As you may have read from a few posts above I have absolutely the same problem though I even flashed the correct bootloader in my Axim X50v. So far I have found absolutely no way of reviving it back. And official Dell service is not available in my fucking stupid country. Apparently this is a very bad situation as I have a brand new high-end PPC lying dead at home and I surely paid a lot of money for it.

I have read through all these posts and have not found the image for WM5 on an X50 (no V). I would love to try this and not have to deal with Dell again. It is bad enough they sold the upgrade. Even worse I was stupid enough to pay $50 for it.
I do have the upgrade CD still from Dell, will transfering that to a SD card work? Any comments are welcome.
