hi - diagnose worked :approve:
i didn't know that something like this is "on board"

also now - i can see the "SD Image Loader" window - i goes like this

1. Hold "Wireless Key"
2. Press "power key"
3. for a very short time press reset

then i see "no suitable image found"
then i see "image update failed. Please try it again"

my dell axim x50 (using WM5) used to get stuck at 80% when it load !
i had tried to use boot loader ..... but there still no result, because there no dump rom for this kind of moderm!! (x50 using WM5)
so i bring it to Kalaptop services not belong to Dell company ! because in Viet Nam has no Dell repair services
Kalaptop said that " we have 80% success for each kind of this problem"
they can fix it with 80% successful ! and they did it ! thank god !
plz don't through your dell away ! it's still can work ! believe me .......
try to find out some repair services in your country ! they can fix it ... "by running again your rom" according Kalaptop service said to me ! (allthough i don't know the way they did with my Dell axim x50
i spend my time to write for all of you who have the stucking Dell (at 80%)b/c i used to had the same thing and now i still using that dell !! happy and happpy ! :love:

Here is a X50 mid (520 Mhz QVGA) WM5 dump I made myself from a replacement unit I got from Dell for my X50v. The *** Edit *** at Dell sent me the wrong unit. Anyways while waiting for a real replacement I tried WM5 and made this dump. Please anyone having a X50 stuck without booting WM5 test it and let me know if it works. For anyone else: For God's sake do not use WM5 on X50, it's hellishly buggy!!!

Hello Fellas

I', Trying to do the flash boot but when I press Wireless+Power+Reset I just receive the message to restore factory setting, nothing different from the hard-reset option.
Then I choose any bottom and get back to the 80% Dell logo.

Should I be getting a different message when I press Wireless+Power+Reset?

I have an Axim x50v

Yes, you should get a different message. It took me about 20 tries on the key combo to get to the screen. I re-loaded WM5 on my X50v, reset it and holy cow, it booted up. Just finished a restore and now Activestink is "processing".

I need to find the original WM2003SE X50v A05 image that was attached in the first post on this thread. The rapidshare link no longer works but I desperately need it in order to properly flash my device. It's in a weird half-flashed state right now, and flashing to anything with ActiveSync gives me an image checksum error.

I would like to replace WM5 with a CE image I build. How can I get the image on to x51?
Also looked at USB traffic when updating ROM using Dell's update utility and most of the data traffic is the same as the dell image file, so not sure what format this file is in.

Is there a way to get my X51V alive? (German language files would be prevered, but English is OK, too). It´s only showing the DELL blue logo on startup...

Try downloading it again. It works absolutely fine. Tested it from home and from my office.
