I have read the entire SB Image loader thread and it seems that everyone is using a program called 'IMG2NB0F.exe' to create .nb0 files for the image they want to load from the SD card. I followed the link in the article, supplied the credentials and downloaded the executable. It's the "newer one" that doesn't make you enter a length or anything, just browse to the .img file and click 'DO'.
Well when I click 'DO' it looks like it's doing something, and then it proceeds to create a 0 KB .nb0 file. It is always blank! I have tried waiting forever and the file is never filled up with anything! I know it is finding a valid image file because it is giving it valid output file names.
Is this because I am running it from vista? They said it was a .net app, so that shouldn't be an issue. I've even tried running it as admin and it only creates blank files and never gets to the 'OK' prompt that the tutorial said would come up.

Am I doing something wrong here?
Your original ROM image might be corrupt. Try downloading the new update from Dell extracting the rom from that. I have a x51v and I downloaded the A12 update and extracted the .nb0 file from that. Worked fine.
Sorry my English is not very Good. I need a german nb0 Flashfile for a Dell Axim x50v. I can`t create a own one. At the moment I use WM5 A02 English, but i can not change the language.
I can't fine any where the files that i need to flash my axim x50v with wm5 A02. it died and doesn't run more than 80%. I tried to flash it with some files that i could find but ot say that it can fine the image file.
Please, some body can help me with these files.. some links in the aximsite about this thread doesn't work, they are dead.
Please, I need your help..
I will be very thanks if some one who had this problem tell me step by step and the files to give live my axim again!
Does anybody have the WM5 A02 in german for the X50v, I do not have the cradle, so it'
s not possible for me to update the rom.
I can only use the SD Image Loader trick... and I did it but only English versions are available on the Net.
Btw, just found it myself. Don't use less than 128 MB SD Cards. Even better, use 256 MB, as it would unpack image to SD Card before actually starting flash process.
Thus, if you receive "No checksum file found" error, you either don't really have it or you use card >128 MB SD Card.
Domme, when trying to flash to axim...in regards to the part about the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Profiles\ SDMemory.
Do we need to change this registry on the axim?
Do you need to have a working sync to the device if you want to do this procedure.
How can you change registry files on an x50 if you can to get into it to do this.
I am trying to follow this proceedure to flash my axim x50, but I can't even get it to sync up to my desktop to do any of this...Help I am not an expert.
I have the rom-grabber tool on the sd card now, but I am stuck at this "changing the regisry part"
