i did the the tutorial said and what is suppose to happen after i press the hard reset. because i pressed the hard reset and then the screen turns blank. please help. i have a dell x50
I thought I was lost and my axim 50v as well, but I tried you trick (duration, position, and especialy keep wifi+power after reset) and I got my axim back after few months in a box, with a desperate owner

When I attempt to press the wifi + power + reset buttons on my Axim X50, I instead get the message:
"A memory error has been detected. Press <2nd button on left> to correct the error. If the system does not boot press [Power] + [Reset] to clear all data in the memory and reboot the system."
I have taken the battery out and also put it back in, but as soon as I press the wifi & then power button I get the above memory error message again.
Thank you so much. Once again Aximsite users have helped me with a problem I could not solve on my own. My Axim X50v needed to be reset, but would not make it past the 80% complete level. I came here, searched on "reset problems", and found this thread.
My biggest problem was downloading the ROM files because my corporate Internet will not go to certain sites.
The steps listed in the first posting were sufficient for me to flash the operating system back to my Axim and in less than an hour, I am using my device and have reinstalled my applications and data.
Was anyone ever able to find the Axim X50mid WM5 nb0 & crc files (US english)?
I do have the WM5 upgrade CD from dell, however it's not going to do me much good at the moment as my Axim will not boot up.
I'm looking for the WM5 nb0 & crc files after a bad WM6 install (bought on ebay) and now I am wanting to fix it and go back (using bootloader) to WM5 for my Axim X50.
If you could point me to the WM5 files for the Axim X50 (not x50v) that would be very much appreciated.
I was copying a music file from my SD-RAM to my DELL RAM, when it froze.
I tried to reset but unsuccessful.
Then I tried hard reset. I could hard reset it but it did not boot up and froze on the Blue DELL Logo.
I have checked my DELL by POWER+RECORD Button+RESET. Everything is OK.
I have tried to Flash it by POWER+WiFi+RESET. I have flashed it by RAM A17, no result.
Then I tried RAM A12 to flash it. No result. Still freezing on Blue DELL Logo.

Help, I have a axim x50, loaded wm5 and everything was working fine. got up the next morning and it had frozen. did a soft reset 1st and nothing, then did a hard reset and went back to the blue dell screen and the progress bar at the bottom only goes half way then stops. what am I doing wrong?

my wife's dell Axim x50 in the ffront but x51/51v in the sticker under the battery is dead, i dont know what rom or update she used, but she killed it, doesnt respond to the wifi power reset buttom or other tricks explained here, can anybody help me to fix it please? that was a very expensive present.
