Thanks, I would really appreciate it, I have not been able to use my x50v since Dec. 31st 2007 so I will be on the look out for the files.

Have you tried the 3 button combination? If you did it right and you still can't access the SD loader, you're screwed.

No when I do the wireless+power+reset nothing happens so I guess I'm screwed
what about PocketPC tech they said they could bring it back. But alittle afraid its a scam, $60 for service even if they can't repair it.

I can turn on my X51, and it shows the "Window Mobile" icon and stay there forever. Is that mean I need to install an OS? I'm really confuse. Does anyone have a bootloader and OS image for Window Mobile 5? Thanks in advance.

I also have the WM2003 ones as well. PM me if you need 'em.
As the quoted text already says, above is the link for the WM5 files for x50v. This post was on page 30 of this thread. I hope this post saves the next member looking for these files alot of time and trouble. It actually took me acouple of days to find these files. Didn't think to search through the thread.

I am having trouble following the direction to use the image loader. I found an upgrade from WM2003SE (i am running WM2003SE Ver 4.21.1088 (build 14260.2.0.5). The file names are WM50_B_A01_X50v_WM5_ENG.nb0, WM50_B_A01_X50v_WM5_ENG.nb0.crc, WM50_K_A01_X50v_WM5_ENG.nb0 and WM50_K_A01_X50v_WM5_ENG.nb0.crc.

I don't know why I have 4 files rather than 2. Also, from your tutorial, I believe that the B files should really start with DiMa. I tried the files with the names as downloaded and I also tried it with changing the 2 B files renamed. In both cases, I could not get the image loader to come up. I always got the hard reset screen. I am pressing the wireless button(on left side of Axim) and the power button and hold them in while I hit the rest button on the back.

I would appreciate your assistance.

You're right that you need to rename the B files to start with DiMa prefix (replace the WM5) . You should also hold the wireless+power button until you see the image loader banner at the top. Read the instructions from 1st post carefully. It helped to resolve my confusion too.

Thanks for the response.

At this point I am giving up. I have several problems with the X50V and I can not get the loader to work and doubt it will fix my problems. I have ordered a IPAQ 111 and will hope I like the new unit.

Any luck with that ? At step 7 my X50v didn't boot back up and I can't access the SD Image loader so I guess I'm toast too
