Haven't upgraded yet. Staying with wm2003 on an x50v.
Is this supposed to be a poll with selectable options or just us chiming in?

Please vote if you have a X50 series Axim and received a WM5 CD from Dell.

keeping my wm2003 and A04 for now. no intentions of upgrading unless it's guaranteed to not have issues beyond what I have now. (which is next to none)

If you went back after a purchase,
Did you ask for your money back?
Did Dell give you your money back?

Didn't buy the WM5 upgrade, and don't plan on it as WM2003SE is rock solid!

Why fix something that isn't broken? WM5 doesn't add anything significant to my x50v. It does what I want it to do now. If I upgrade, I'll just be adding additional problems I don't need.

I tried to keep a straight face using WM5 for about a week, but it's just too slow. Just opening a menu is a painful process. You first tap, then hear the click sound, then the outline of the menu shows -- you get the idea.

Actually I purchased and never installed it. From what I gather, with all of the problems associated with the so called "upgrade", I'm glad I didn't. Anyway, WM2003se is pretty darn stable and is compatible with all my current software two very big pluses in my book.

Got the WM5.0 CD... Bricked my PPC, obtained a PPC exchange from Dell and returned the CD. To this day, almost 2 months since I returned the CD, I am still fighting with Dell to get my refound.
Every single Customer Service that I talk to, approves the refound, then it sits and waits for finace approval but goes nowhere...
Hopefully, I get my $40 back soon.

Can live with the speed, or lack there of.
Can live with less memory.
Can live with less softwares.
Can live with Active Sync 4.1.
Can Not live with the CF issue, registry hacks work intermittently.
Went back after ~1 week, not going to take that route again and so does Dell, it seem.

I ordered an upgrade CD and upgrade but finally rolled back to 2003. I will go to the store to add extra 64M ram and then try the WM5 again. At the same time, I hope the patch for the WM5 on X50V to be out soon!
