active sync does not find my x51v

I just received my axim two days ago and encountered my first issue.

I initially had 4.0, but I installed active sync 4.1 but didn't restart my computer so I kept using 4.0.

I used active sync 4.0 after the 4.1 installation to sync some mp3s and movies to my sd card in my ppc.

When I restarted my computer this morning, active sync would not connect. Active sync did show the correct time of my last sync. x51v was firmly in cradle because computer made a sound indicating that it was in.

My ppc cradle is connected to a usb port on my i6000

When I tried to connect my ppc active sync did not responded that it could not find anything connected to the com3 or usb ports.

should i just return to active sync 4.0 or try something else?

Hi, Ive had a simular problem with my active sync at first it wouldnt sync because my firewall was stopping it.
Then it sync'd for a few weeks with no problems. Then it stopped again I went into the settings and deleted the mobile device and created a new partnership and its now working fine.

Try to do a hard reset of your axim w/ ur axim off the cradle then put it back on to create a new partnership......hope it works
