anyone can dump an x50 mid (520mhz, wifi) rom??? i'm having trouble with it "thinking" it's a x50 low :S

There's a new ROM dump utility under development that doesn't require any registry editing and tries to establish what size of dump to make at XDA-Developers and the author has kindly hosted the files with instructions here.

There are still some issues but hopefully with a little feedback these might be resolved.

I mean to include some my program pre-built in to ROM or delete some-unwant file ?

What about EnterBootLoader.exe?
When You are using it on palmtop - palmtop goes into boot loader mode, and tries to get contact with computer - what sort of connection is it?
I thougth it's sth like tftp, but i don't know how to run tftp server on usb :)

I got the Rom onto the SD card and brought onto the PC to be edited. While following the instructions below. When I hit Hex, the 40000 changed to numbers and a letter. Is this correct? What program is needed to make the crc files. I did them in word pad, saved and changed the .rtf to .crc. What is the "action" key on an Axim X50v? I want to get my SD card ready for flashing "just in case" for the time when the axim stops booting. I will be flashing WM5 to WM5 hopefully. What should my 4 file names be?

I just wondering.

But some of you knows about the linux on x50 and x50v, you can check it at www.fisherss.com.

This form could be used to upload linux instead any wm?

How is constructed the rom internally to write a similar rom and cheat the axim to supose is loading windows and really is linux?

Actually, linux on x50v is not usefull since the framebuffer is possible, but is not too accuracy the touch screen pointer, but when the linux project goes better we can think on this no?

If some one can help me on what I have to investigate on this it will be very appreciated...
