axim x50 and verizon razr v3c
I have the verizon razr v3 and dell axim x50, they have communicated quite nicely sending photos and mp3 ringtones back and forth, on the v3c I have OBEX enabled, when I'm on the road and want to send a contact from pda to cell phone to dial, i get a message that I cannot connect to the object push profile of the remote device. What is an OPP profile?? Not the same as OBEX? Wierd, since I can view all of the folders of the phone on pda and transfer photos, etc, to the phone.

Hi Gaer01,
I thought Verizon disabled this feature. I've heard the way to transfer phots and ringtones is to purchase the use of their "Get It Now" software. How did you get this enabled on your RAZR?
I do have my x51v setup to work with my RAZR v3c regarding the use of bluetooth and dial-up. Now I can surf the web when I am away from home.
Thanks,
Gene

razrv3c and axim x50
Yes, I have heard that multiple times however, On my razr I can access OBEX and dial up network functionality. I have transferred photos from my pda to my phone and vice versa, as well as from notebook with bluetooth dongle, as I have also done the same with partially mastered MP3 files for ring tones. (transferred both to and from the phone) What I would really like to know more about is this OPP business, this is more useful so that I don't ever have to dial my phone. Let me nkow

Yes, while in contacts, if you hold on a contact you are given an option to send to phone via BT, that is if you have an OPP enabled service from the phone enabled. I suspect that this is one of the BT services verizon has locked out, it would be quite a useful feature

hi GeneD,
How did you set up your axim to work with ur razr in regard to DUN? I tried my x30h with that phone and it failed to connect (with msg saying "you have the wrong username and password"). I tried the method showed at howardforum using usr = myphonenumber@vzw3g.com and pwd = vzw with #777 dial number. Also, i were able to get my phone to be 1x mode, not evdo. Thnks!
Regarding OPP, you might wanna check out the Alltell flash to the phone thread over at howardforum.com. Heard they have got it working. I havent tried it so can't tell you from my experience.
