I own an x51v and do not currently have any problems with it.

I do, however, want a certain bit of functionality and I am wondering if anyone knows if these "problems" can be used to my benefit...;)

I never cradle my x51v. I keep it in my pocket while at work, and plug it into a charger each night at home. I sync it (currenlty manually) via Bluetooth while I am at work. What I would like to occur is a scheduled Bluetooth Autosync. I would like this to occur automatically (in my pocket) without my intervention being required.

Does anyone know of a way to force that behaviour?

Thanks,
-Matt

quiet a good instruction. But I still get the WSOD when the Axim was in Standby with activated WLAN. Any ideas for a solution?

How do you undo this fix?

I did the fix and now I have problems I did not have before. I now lose my CF card which did not happen before.

Did you do a soft reset after following the instructions?

i found out how to turn the unit off instead of in standby and I did that. I tried the soft reset and now it seems to be working great again :)

Icon14 Thank you

I was mystified as to why my PDA would not turn on in the morning without a soft reset and why the battery was always drained.

I called Dell and they told me it was a known issue, but the fix I was given did not fix the problem.

I searched around and found this thread and implemented the fix. My PDA seems to work OK now.

Thank you very much!!!

Thanks to Goonerz. It is kindly appreciated you took time to explain a procedure to get rid of our problems. For my part, my X51V is seeing my CF card every time I power the thing on.

Got my X51v 3 weeks ago.... had problem with battery depleting eventho not using....

After server trick.... everything is ok and battery charge is holding...Thanks for the post... But still, this device eats too much power!!!:rolling: Have to put on power save mode

Realised, some software were not compatible with my axim... screen freezing... today panel won't appear... but after removing all back to normal.

This information is courtesy of him originally, and copied many times throughout the Aximsite forum, but I am re-writing in easy to follow laymans terms to hopefully make this a sticky, and stop the multiple posting regarding the same old problems. Here we go!

1. Turn on your Axim
2. Go to Start > Programs > Activesync. This will open the Activesync program.
3. Tap Menu at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. This will bring up the Options Menu. Notice the option Schedule... is greyed out? This is the all-critical option we need to get access to. But as it's disabled we can't change Activesync's default synchronisation schedule.
My Options Menu doesn't have a Schedule... item greyed out or otherwise.
Mine is a X51v with Ms Windows mobile 5.0 OS 5.1.70 (build 14410.1.1.3)
ROM version A08
Does anyone have any other advice before I send it back ?
