Is anyone else experiencing extraordinarily long connection and logon times to pop servers? For some reason ever since I've gotten the x51v running wm5 my machine seems to take up to 90 seconds to connect to the server. This seems to be connection independent, i.e. it happens when on wireless, cell phone or in the cradle.

Any advice would be appreciated. I have several accounts to check and it's starting to get cumbersome.

It by defualt uses SSL even on non SSL connection.
You need to get a program like tweaks2k2 and check the Disable SSL box.
Then it will connect like normal.
