I'd like your suggestions on how to configure my new x51v.
I don't think I'll ever need 4GB or memory: should I stick to use only the CF or the SD or is it better to use 2GB and 2GB?
I saw some CF cards at 50X, 100X and even 200X speed: does it matter on a PDA?
I have a bluetooth GPS: aquacooled in another thread (http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showt...848#post959848) said only 512MB of maps can be stored. I have no experience but I could not find this limitations in either the GPS or the Axim's manuals.
About software: I got burned several times with Internet Explorer and I've been using with no problems Firefox on my PC. Do you know if I can use it on a PDA?
I see though that lots of syncronizations information on Outlook. I can;t stand Outlook. I used Outlook express before but now I'm happily on Thunderbird: same questions do you see a problem with that?
Any other tool/utility that you think I *must* have on my PDA?
Thanks a lot.

Regarding CF and SD cards. The bigger the more you can store. So its completely dependant on what you want to use it for. If you want to just listen to music a 512MB SD/CF would be more than ample(Unless you want to carry entire album collections with you).
If your dealing with video. Id recommmend at least a 1GB SD/CF.
(even with compression the files are still pretty big).
Regarding the 60x, 100x, 200x. It does matter if you want to watch video or run any speed intensive item with your PDA; that your card is pretty zippy. Search for info on card speeds on AximSite. There are links to comparisons.
For me Im eventually going to get 1GB SD and a 1GB CF. Right now I have a 256MB SD and its more than adequate for my music files.
There are alternatives for PIE for surfing the web. So good luck on that one.
If you want a good alternative to Pocket Outlook. Then get WebIs Mail. Its a powerful email application thats more like a proper desktop email application. Configuring email accounts with it is a snap and shouldnt trouble most people. I personally use it.
Oh and a bonus. If you want your PDA looking like a piece of portable art. Try Wisbar Advance. There is a beta version for it available for download at their webiste(Do a google search). Its basically the Pocket PC equivalent of WindowBlinds, but do be forewarned that you might require getting additional plugins like "ilaucher", "PocketWeather" or other plugins to really enhance the look. Im running the Expea2 suite now and it looks gorgeous *drools*. Basically it gives your GUI a facelift of gargantuan proportions plus simulating the interface of a proper PC GUI like XP(Cascading Windows) :approve:
