I realize that this is not the WM5 or Software forum, however, I think that it's appropriate here...
Just thought I would pass along a little info that may save people a few hours of rebuilding their Axims...
If you have Pocket Mechanic (I'm running version 1.59 with WM5 & ROM A06 on my X51v) and you choose to do a "System Cleanup", DO NO DELETE the *.tmp files that are in the "\Windows\AppMgr\" folders and sub-folders.
Deleting these files .tmp files and folders will prevent you from uninstalling your applications. If you do delete them, there is no way short of a hard reset to remove your applications. Reinstalling your programs and then trying to uninstall them will also fail.
...unfortunately, I speak from experience
Don't get me wrong, Pocket Mechanic is a GREAT program!
Being a little too adventurous can get you into big trouble.
Erm.... I suggest you not to use Pocket Mechanic for the moment as it is not yet optimized for WM5, thus it might cause some major problems in case you are using it with WM5.
According to Anton Tomov, he is currently working on updated version for WM5.
I purchased the newest version for Christmas and after running all of the apps once I found that I cannot run add/remove app, I cannot change themes, I cannot install anything via active sync or cab files so even if I knew how to fix this I am uncertain how I would install the appropriate files (unless I can obtain the correct files and simply drag them into their correct folders via activesync explorer. To make matters worse, I bought my Axim x51v second hand and have no WM5.0 installation disc to obtain the correct files from . . .etc.
Any advice or help you could offer would be most appreciated.

I got 'Guest' error on activesync after system cleanup, as result I cannot sign my partnership & no internet (via activesync). Pocket Mechanic has deleted necessary system file which is dangerous when applied
