Don't ask me how i figured it out but.. I was tapping on the start button, and noticed the "click" was rather loud. I tapped it again, and it appeared quieter.. Apparently a hard tap will make a louder "click" then a soft tap.. Just thought it was interesting. I'm sure there is some soft of software that might take advantage of this.
This could techically be possible, depending on how the digitizer circuits are layed out. A hard tap would result in the stylus hitting a larger area of the screen, returning a multi-value result. But, since it is probably connected through a hardware interface, the position values would be averaged there and would never make it to the OS.
Screen tap sounds are not enabled... I will have to connect my axim to my work machine when i get in.. I'll record it, and then analyize the audio. I swear there is a difference !!
Ok, so i'm still working on recording the sounds. I had a co-worker listen "blind" he also said that one click sounded louder then another. I have 3 other ax's i can test today. Maybe it's just me ?
