Unable to set up a new partnership in sync

I had the same problem that lots of people were having with signing on as "guest" I did all the things that were suggested by the previously read threads. Now I have re-installed all the drivers, re-installed activesync and did all the hard and soft resets. The Axim connects but only as guest, and I cannot set up a new partnership with microsoft activesync any more.Everything else workls though - e mail and internet.

any suggestions please!
