Will the X51 rom updates work on my WM5 X50mid? Has anyone tried it?

Anything is possible, but nobody has tried this yet. It would be risky and for little benefit.

Dell Support Rep on 1/12/06: Only a small number of users are having issues (WM5 on x50v)... Dell will be releasing (update for x50v) but it will not be soon.

The loader checks to see what is on the device that it is attached to and it must match the ROM you are trying to load so no, it won't work.
