PC not finding my device?

My PC is giving me this error:

USB Device Not Recognized
One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned,and windows does not recognize it. For assistance on solving this problem, click this message.

when you click, it opens some strange box but device not listed?

Just to confirm there is a bug with Activesycn and WM5. You should go to www.microsoft.com/mobile and get activesync 4.1 Simply install this and it should fix your problem. I had the same thing using WM5 and upgradged to AS 4.1. Haven't had a problem with finding the device since. (I've since downgraded to WM2003SE on the PPC but still use AS 4.1 without failure)

Have you tried turning off all running apps on your Axim (using switcher bar, perhaps) and then syncing again?! I've been having some issues with ActiveSync 4.1 (connecting, syncing forever) but it looks like this may be the solution.
