Hmm Problem with "stopping synchronization" with 2nd comp. that used to work

I synchronize on 2 computers (home and work) and everything was going okay until today. I have the X51v 624 mhz and run Activesync 4.1 on both computers. I have had AO6 for a little over a week and was not having any trouble (except occasional white screens). Anyway, when I tried to sync at work today, it would connect and act like it was going to work and then I would get a message that said "stopping synchronization." When I hit "sync" again, it would give the same error and after several tries, would give me the "server busy" error code. I had installed trial versions of both Pocket Informant and Pocket Breeze over the weekend and thought that might have something to do with it (work runs old version of Outlook---does anyone know if that would affect sync with Pocket Informant?), so I uninstalled both. I did soft reset and restarted PC, but still received the same messages. I'm thinking I might have to do a hard reset, but thought I'd ask you guys if you had any input before I did that. It may be something simple, but I just don't know. I was so frustrated today! At least it still synchronized okay at home tonight, so I didn't lose any of my notes that I typed at work today. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I guess no one has an answer to this one. I did want to post an update to see if that may help--when I synchronized at work again, I noticed that my files, notes, and tasks sync'ed okay. The calendar was where it seemed to have a problem. It was almost like it would "hang" in calendar and then would say "stopping synchronization." I'm assuming it is something in Calendar, but it is still syncing the calendar at home with no problems. Any suggestions?

Try running the Outlook Inbox Repair tool on your work computer (assuming you're not running off Exchange) - part of your Outlook file might be corrupt.

The EXE can be found in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033\SCANPST.EXE". Your mail file is typically located in "C:\Documents and Settings\*username*\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst".

Thanks for replying! My work e-mail is on an exchange server, but I do not sync my work e-mail--only calendar, notes, and tasks. I'll take a look tomorrow and may see if our tech support can help. They're not very familiar with pocket pc, but they may could help if a file is corrupt.

E-mail, contacts, calendar, notes, tasks, etc. are all stored in the same file in Outlook, so that tool would fix errors in everything. However, it's not much use to you since you're on an Exchange server.
