x51v Prevent weatherpanel todays plugin from Loading

I am having this particular problem with the weatherpanel todays plugin. I had to have a soft reset during the installation because it was stuck and after that everytime I reset, the hour glass comes up until I click something.

I have tried reinstalling and uninstalling the plugin but the problem is still there. However on rebooting in Safe mode using Pocket plus, the problem doesn't come up. So I am thinking that somewhere in the registry, the weather panel plugin still makes the OS try and restart the plugin.

Any help?

I was having similar problems with Weather Panel on my X50v after I upgraded to v05 of WM2003SE. I was using version 2.5 of Weather Panel. I decided to go with all SBSH and switched to Pocket Weather.

I was using 2.5 too.

The latest version 2.5.1 is working fine on my x51v, as have all the previous versions. Have you taken a look at the registry for today plugins to see if there is an entry for WeatherPanel? If there is one I would recommend deleting those entries.

I installed the latest trial version and it blows! A soft reset takes 2-3 minutes with it installed. I really like weatherpanel, but it's not worth the wait. At least I didn't pay for it!! Yet another today plugin disappointment.

BTW, deleting the weatherpanel registry entries removes the city data rendering it useless. The entries are replaced when you add cities, as is the performance hit when you add the plugin back into Today.
