Bluetooth ActiveSync 4.1 using MS' Bluetooth stacks

Here are some screen shots I put together on how to setup a Bluetooth ActiveSync 4.1 connection. I use the Microsoft Bluetooth stack on my Thinkpad and Dell forces us to use the Microsoft Bluetooth stack on the X51v.

Hello,

Interesting screens. However, I never suceeded in getting the service 'activeSync' proposed when creating the partnership ...
Only 'Serial port' is proposed.

I strickly followed your procedure ... but no way to get the right service.

Using Axim X51 and 4.1.0 ActiveSync. I'm trying to connect to Windows XP DELL laptop.

Any advice ? Dis I miss something ?

Thanks

I am also having this problem. I can create a partnership with my computer, but when I go to it's Partnership Settings the only services I can choose form are "Serial Port" and "Wireless Stereo".

I have a Dell Inspiron E1505 running Windows XP SP2, using ActiveSync 4.2.0 Build 4876, as I just upgraded from ActiveSync 4.1.0 while having the same problem (I thought upgrading might fix it, but it didn't) and using Dell's Bluetooth Manager.

Any ideas?
