Is it too late Warranty

I didn’t get an extended warranty when I first bought my x50v

The warranty is up in July. Can I purchase full coverage / extended warranty, or is it too late?

Not sure on the Axim but when I purchased my Desktop I was flooded with emails from Dell asking if I wanted to extend my warranty period so they may do the same for the Axim line.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Just call up Ma Dell and ask.

If I could simply type a friendly question to an AximSite thread, descending into Dell phone support h&ll would not be my first choice.

You better call and ask because when I was ordering my axim, I asked can i get the extended accidental warranty later (like in a couple months) and the sale rep said NO, you must buy it now or you will never be able to get it. I feel like I was lied to!! but all in all I think it was a good decision of me to get it anyways. Better to be safe than sorry

But isn't...."Call Dell and ask" exactly what you're going to need to do to find out for sure? ;)

It could vary by country too. And in the US by state. We don't know where this guy (or girl) is from so it's tricky to give a 100% accurate answer.

Maybe not. I just got off the phone with Dell - looking to buy an x51V from Costco - it already comes with the 3 year limited warranty, but I'm interested in the Accidental Damage Service. Neither Sales nor "service" could tell me if I'd be able to buy it with the Costco-bought unit, just what I could and couldn't do if I bought it direct from Dell!

I'd be discouraged about buying it at all just about now, but lousy customer service is ubiquitous, and I still need a PDA.

I think there was an option on Dell's site to extend my warranty when I was looking there recently.

Wanted to get a problem with screen calibration resolved before my warranty expired in a couple months.

It is nice to have a PDA where, when you click on a menu item, the item you click on is selected, and not an adjacent item up to 1/4" above or below (but not consistent during the day).

I just got a used Dell X50v at Christmas, and the original warranty expired the end of January. I had the original owner transfer the warranty, and was able to extend the warranty for another 2 years for $120CDN. But I wasn't able to get a Complete Care warranty.

Yes, Dell WILL replace your X50v with an X51v, if you do it right...
