Problems sending large files to SD card on x51v

I am trying to send a 716mb divx movie to my Axims SD card, it seems to be sending the first bit of it over and over and over. The progress bar is showing up to 2 blocks of progress then goes back to none. I have a program that measures data transfers, and its registering data being transferred, but it never ends.

The SD card is a 2gb card and i formatted it FAT32.
I just copied the file from my hard drive, then pasted it to the SD card on my Axim. Am I doing something wrong?

You have to wait a really long time. When i was sending a file that big it took almost 15 mins or so. It's normal for the progress bar to keep going over and over again. You have to remember the Axim only writes at 1x speed.

My loader bar never moved...but I went to the "memory" setting and watched my cf card get filled with 1gb of data.

It usually is a good idea to transfer large files to a memory card via a card reader vs. ActiveSync. If you plan to handle large files with regularity then it might be worth a $20 investment to get a USB 2.0 card reader.
