Happens sometimes to me, just reset it and everything works fine. Usualy only when certain apps are running like TCMP when the device goes to sleep.

Yep. My X50v has done that a few times since I upgraded to WM5, too.

My x50v has done it rarely - with WM2003SE. Goes back to normal with soft reset. Not to worry - I think?

I have a x50v and have seen the same thing on my unit. I go to start/settings/today/appearance and reselect the picture with the check box, "Use this picture as the background." Clears everything up without a soft reset.

My X51V acted like that a couple of times when browsing the internet. All the icons started to look like convicts and only a soft reset proved their innocence.

I've had that too. It's when an application is running, and your Axim goes into sleep mode, the application might crash. Happened with me when i was playing a game which wasn't compatible with WM2005 according to the developer but it worked fine on my Axim. Although i turned it off myself.
