ActiveSync 4.1 issue

Hello,

I've been having some issues with ActiveSync 4.1. I found that it had a hard time connecting to my x51v if I place Axim into the sync cradle before Axim has completely booted up. If I wait for Axim to boot up, and then place it into the cradle, then it works fine (but only once!). If I then keep Axim in the cradle, I can install some software, but when I try to sync up again, ActiveSync keeps showing the message that it is connecting and never connects and further, I cannot install any more software. Has anyone had this problem and found the reason/solution or the only way to solve this is to take Axim out of the cradle and press soft reset button and repeat the initial steps?
(btw, I updated to the newest ROM version from the Dell's website).

I have the same problem - I had an Inspiron 2500 (old as dirt) which would sync up fine, but today I got my new Inspiron 6000 and it does the exact same thing...

Never mind, I forgot this thing has a Trend Firewall - I disabled the entire thing and now I am connected fine. I guess I am going to have to figure out how to fix it so it works...

I only have the windows firewall on XP and yet, I still can't do anything.

I set everything to allow in zone alarm and I still cant get it to work :(
