ActiveSync Issue

I just switched from a iPaq 2210 to an Axim x50V and I cannot get the thing to sync!!! The activsync "sees" the device but that is it. I could not setup a partnership or anything! The iPaq worked fine but this Axim is a no go as of now.

I have soft reset, hard reset, installed, removed and reinstalled the acvtivesync at least 10 times...still no joy!!!

I am running WM2003SE....I am trying to install the activesync that came with it which is 3.7 I am planning to update it when everything works.

PLEASE PLEASE..someone help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just sounds like you need the most updated version of Activesync (meaning uninstall yet again and install 4.1 on your PC). If that doesn't work, maybe you need to delete old partnerships??? Other than that, I don't know.

If nothing works try searching the registry for the program. Go to Start, Run and type in "regedit" and search for activesync. Delete anything with references to it.
-Restart Computer.
-Install Activesync. Restart.
-Do a soft reset on your device and put it in the cradle.

Many people on this site have had trouble with AS and a lot of the troubles are resolved by turning off your firewall or anti virus. If this is your problem you can "tweak" the settings on your anti virus/firewall software to make active sync a "trusted site" or something like that. This will allow both AS and av/firewall to run simultaneously.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll be gone all day.
