PIE slow to finish loading pages

Okay, is it normal that when using PIE when it gets to the last little bit of a page it takes as long as 30-60 seconds to load that last little bit?

If I want to scroll down that page while I'm still waiting for it to load it is so sluggish until it finishes loading the last bit it always seems to be waiting to receive.

Is this normal? Are there settings to adjust?

Sometimes it all depends on what URL's you're visiting. I try to view pages that are geared towards PIE. Some graphically enhanced pages with a ton of flash might take longer, but no I've never seen it take that long.

I've found that if PIE is taking more than a few seconds to load a page you can simply press the refresh button and the page loads in just seconds.

This doesn't always work but more often than not. Like mentioned before, if the page you're loading has tons of ads and flash on it then you may be waiting up to a minute or so in any case.

The pages I go to are ones like CNN, Foxnews, Ebay, etc.

I'm telling you, that last little bit to load takes forever.

where can you get opera for PPC? the only versions i've seen are for phones...
