I like your thinking, but from what I gather they would have to have the same exact radio amongst some other things. It might be a good idea to look at it, but I don't know how much it would help. Then again, trying to understand some of this stuff is just a bit confusing....

Addition who needs that kind of stuff any way huh?

Well the fact that the radios might not be the same might not even be the biggest problem when it comes to fixing that. Our biggest obstacle would probably be the fact that WM5 on the x50, is very different than x51 WM5. It is tailored to work with the x50's hardware, which is not optimal for WM5. Just like the hx4700, many of the problems prominent with the WM5 x50 upgrade are likely to exist. For example, I doubt the HX4700 w/ WM5 will even have XIP. Any way, I think the jury should just disregard the hx4700 wm5 upgrade as information that will be helpful in accomplishing our goal. It is "inadmissible evidence" :)
Thats exactly what I meant, but just couldn't spit out.....
lol

yeah ...
x50 upgrade ... similar to ... 4700 upgrade
not same as x51 line where WM5 is native :)
let's cross 1 bridge at a time .... :) ( if they got it right ... it means the X50 line have hopes :approve:
you sure know how to burst a bubble for us X51 users ...
I have visual studio and the SDK but I do not think you are allowed to sign drivers. I think the signature is from microsoft and they want to charge you lots of $$$. But if anyone knows how you can go ahead and tell me and I will do it.
I know this isn't Widcomm, but may be related... Buzzdev Thread on adding BT services to MS Stack.
Here are the services that were added to the MS BT Stack after the installation of the addon ...
- Bluetooth Printing Service
- Bluetooth Security Service
- Bluetooth Imaging Services
- Bluetooth FTP Service
- Bluetooth Audio Streamimng Service
What services are they missing that we would get with Widcomm? One guy said "Just remember to install the wavedev.reg fix after installing the cab file so your audio works once more. I can can confirm that this seems to work fine on my x51v (I can't really test all the profiles as I don't have a stereo headset etc.). "
Anyone else tried it? Looks like just one Cab file and a reg file.
I've signed BTCeif 1.6.600 and now load at startup: You were right MikelSpikel.
Find attached the zip with certificate that has to be installed and the signed dll
The radio still doesn't turn on... but it tries harder
I think that I've to sign all the dlls and the exes. But I can't do now. This night I'll post it signed.

having the services showed up and being able to use it is 2 different things ...as you can see , I have these shown ... but with the MS stack ... not all of them are useable !!! http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showp...7&postcount=71
