It might not be a good idea to spread the word just yet!
1. It's not finished.
2. Who knows what legal issues there are (might get a nasty letter).
3. It would be better to wait till it is done and widely distributed!
I think it's best to keep it under your hat for awhile. Just my 2 cents...
I never said serial port doesnt work, it connects fine, its just i try to connect to activesync on my computer (there is a thing for activesync) and that does not work, but then again, I could not get it to work wiht the microsoft stack
You could also remove things from the excel file that arent even in the widcomm program
U guys are the best thing that ever happened to wm5, keep up the good work. i want my iogear wireless headphones working before the weekend is over, im depending on you guys. Just know you guys are up to win many hearts along with a money award.
The Wincomm 1.5.200 Drivers that say for X51 work great on the X50v WM5 PDA. I have tryed it because no one answered me. I did everything that they said in the Wincommx51v2.zip and worked great working also everything. Even the Bluetooth on my computer I can print.
Does it have built in support for a printer? It doesnt see the printer on my computer.
No, what it has is on my PC I have a USB Bluetooth adapter and with that it lets me see now with the new driver the personal network and I got the printing working throught that.
Not perfect because I am using HP driver for a Canon printer but good for me.
 Why isn't this contest listed in the News and Announcements on the front page? The more people that see this, the more money will be donated and the more likely this dream will come true.
First off, thank you to everyone who has worked on building this. It astounds me that people volunteering what little free time they have can fix this quicker than all of dell can.
I have been able to get ActiveSync as well as Obex file transfers (both ways) to work. I don't think anyone else has tried any of the audio profiles with the Widcomm stack so I wanted to post what I found. I am using the Motorola HT820 headphones which can do both the HSP and the A2DP profiles. So far, I have haven't been able to get either to work. When I put the headphones in paring mode, open the Bluetooth Manager and go to "New>Explore a Bluetooth Device" on the Axim, it finds the device no problem. I put in the passkey, but then I am told that the device does not have any useable services. I know the passkey is working because as soon as I put it in the little light on the side of the headphones blinks indicating a successful pair.
So at this point I have paired the device but not setup any services. So next I tried to do them manually. First I went to "New>High Quality Audio setup" but I cannot get any further than that. The device freezes on that screen (see attachment A2DP). No device ever shows up the only way I can get out of it is to quit the program via Magic Button.
Next I tried to do HSP. I went "New>Hands-free/Headset Setup." This time, it actually finds the service and proceeds to setup a shortcut to it. However, when I hit "finish" and go back to the Shortcuts screen of the Bluetooth Manager, I get a "reading value failed message (see attachment HSP). If I hit OK, I can still try and connect to the headphones using the new shortcut. It tells me it is connecting and I hear on the headphones a ringtone as though I were receiving a call. If I press the receive call button on the headphones, it connects for a brief instant, then the Axim disconnects and the headphones seem to think they are still connected (I can still hear a buzz in the headphones as if it were receiving audio).
At least the headphones come with an audio cable so I can use that in the interim. I don't know anything about how to tweak the programming of the widcomm stack, or else I'd give it a shot. But, hopefully this information can help whoever is working on this come up with a final solution. If you need any more information, please let me know, I would love to help. I really appreciate what you guys are doing and you are so close, keep up the good work!
