Beemer, how do you test the speed of BT transfers?

I simply stablish a File transfer profile connection between my PC and the X51. The I copy a file from one machine to the other and during the copy the dialog says " copiing 9.5 Kbps"

You can also copy a big file, say 4MB, and take the time and do the maths, but windows method works.

Thanks again.

Please don't give up on this effort. From what it seems, the long-anticipated A08 does not fix all BT issues on the Axim x51v. This solution will still be sought-after for months until Dell releases an A10 update (if that even takes care of our BT issues).

I found something very interesting today... this is a so-so translation of the Fujitsu-Siemens N560 Review by solopalmari.com. This FS has bluetooth 1.2 and the MS BT driver as you can see on the screenshots but the BT audio headset is fully working.... is the Microsoft Bluetooth driver for the Axim x51v capable of this?

It's mostly likely a low battery warning. The icons varies with manufacturers...

Microsoft bluetooth stack is capable of all (or most) profiles. Dell just chose not to implement them into the Axim.

I was kinda wondering all along why someone couldn't just try and get the current stack to just work instead of hacking the Widcomm stack.

Don't get me wrong. I'm loving these guys for what they're doing and I'll probably even donate ($) to the cause. I was just curious.

Guys.......is it possible to get the MS BT stack to work? I mean, it works on other PDAs.

is it possible to get the microsoft stack from somewhere else, and just load it into the axim... or is it possible to get the profiles somehow and load them in?

Hm, so you are copying directly that file in BT Manager?
