Reusing WM2003SE Widcomm BT stack extracted from dumped ROM image - anyone tried?

Well, in theory the 1.6 should work for WM5 right?

Many people have done 1.5 version work on HTCs (qteks and so on) winth WM5, but nobody have gotten it on X51...
I think 1.6 would be better...and easier?

BTW, I've installed the 1.6 CAB as is on my x51v. Don't do the same - it messed up the device (it just couldn't be suspended), resulting in the need for a hard reset.

Acer n300 series are using 1.7. If i have it, how can i extract the files..?

I have been working for two weeks but I cannot find whats the problem.:
In the meantime I've collected a useful information that cold be useful to anybody that wants to help us. I've published it under :

It contains:
Widcomm Stack in "bunch of files" format plus a .reg file for the registry entries in three different versions:
1.5.0.200 from XDA developers
1.5.0.610 from Menneisyys plus a .reg file compiled from a X50v Spanish version
1.6.0.600 extracted from the cab of xda-developers and with a .reg

I've included also several .reg files and a excel file with the processes that runs on an X50 and those that does on an X51 untouched and with several touchs.

Hope helps anybody who wants to help us to find the solution.

1.5.0.200 instals OK, and can open BT manager and see versions
1.5.0.610 instals OK, and can open BT manager but hangs when seeing versions
1.6.0.600 isn't tested as a bunch of files. When I tried as cab I had the same problem that Menneisyys with the power button and WIFI and I had to have a hard reset

Hi all,

I've followed beemer's instructions, getting the same results (insufficient memory error when trying to turn BT on).

As it's shown in beemer's excel file and confirmed by me, btceif.dll driver doesn't load at all. This seems to be the main problem. Maybe any classids or typelibs missing?

No, nothing works as of now. I also tried but cannot get past the driver memory error. I am not able make the widcomm stack point to the resident bluetooth driver.

This is a reduced platform.reg for 1.6.200
It works as .reg V5 and has all tha serial, power and wifi problems od the original solved.
It is the one that I'm usin now to try to make the driver work (it still doesn`t work but dows not causes problems).
To install copy from PDA to PDA all the directory 1.6.200 saying NO to overwrite the files that actually exists on X51 and the run this Platform1.6ucMinimal.reg and soft reset.
