I have Tomtom6 and works fine

Hi Beemer. I have a X51v, updated rom A04 spanish, Tomtom 6.0 instaled. Widcomm 0.50 and A2DP fix instaled too. And I can connect the Axim to a Motorola HF820 hands free and to my GPS Royaltek 2001. And I can hear mp3, the Tomtom instructions at the same time. I hope that this helps you. If you can speak with me my msn is dualin2002@hotmail.com

I'm waiting to receive the oficial TTN6 to investigate further. In the meantime I've discovered that the problem are several dll that TTN6 change... But probably it was a problem of my early copy I only used for testing.

There's an error in the registry file for the widcomm driver.

In one of the sections of the registry file that's imported on install, the Redirect to the Widcomm BT Connection Manager (BTConnManagerCE.exe) is misspelt "BTConnManeger.exe" which causes ActiveSync to fall over with the error about insufficent memory to load driver.

This affects the 0.38 version of the project, not sure about earlier versions as this is the first version I've attempted to install.

The Affected Registry key is:

HKLM -> ControlPanel -> Bluetooth -> (String Value: Redirect)

Use one of the registry editors mentioned in the install.txt & change this value to read: BTConnManagerCE.exe (Rename from BTConnManeger.exe)

Also, If Bluetooth is ON prior to install, when you try and enable it via the icon, it generates the "memory error" message. In which case, you need to press the wireless button on the side of the device twice to disable bluetooth, then reenable it via the on-screen icon.

There must be a registry entry that is controlled by pressing of the external button, in order to be able to use the button to enable / disable the Wireless mode, the Widcomm driver needs to be tied into this entry if the external button is going to be of any use.

Regards,

Gib.

You are right Gib, but these two issues are solved on V0.50 version

I do apologise Beemer. By reading this thread (or bits of it) I assumed 0.38 was the latest version available.

BT Mouse

I've read about the Think something BT mouse now, and I'm wondering, how can I connect my Trust MI-5300p BT Mouse to my x51v ?
If there is a way to do that, and someone knows the way, I'll be very happy :)

That makes alot of sense. Any idea what files TT6 installs so that I can remove them? I did a uninstall of TT6 and still getting the same issue (after doing a hard rest the first time I installed TT6). Do I have to just remove the widcomm stack? I would rather not since I love it so much :). Thanks!

Found something in 0.5
Im using an Axim X50 LOW with WM5 A00 SPA.
When i try to connect to internet with my PC, it detects as phone dialing connection! its not good. Then if i try it by ussing network access, it connects ok, but its like frezeed, cannot acces anything, the only way i found to access the Internet was by starting the network acces from the PC, not PPC.
is there another way to connect? I mean without touching my PC when i want to connect.
Thanks

By the way, you are doing an excellent job.

PD. i found some duplicates in context menus also

So, does the TO BT mouse work without the TO BT Drivers??

This would be very useful as my mouse is collecting dust because i dont wish to instal the TO drivers, as they are a memory hog.

The TO keyboard was a breeze (although loss of some functionality, but who cares)

I would just like the Mouse to work.......if anyone knows where this info is posted, i'll gladly read it, but i got to page 38 of this before my eyes started burning lol

recently I installed the broadcom bt on my X51v after factory reset (unable to open email client)
it works better than original MSBT, at least Muses 1.2 works now (it couldn't work with MSBT)
here is the clue: before installing, MAKE SURE the MSBT is OFF, then go to \Windows\Startup, move bttray to elsewhere, reset or full off

Hey

Anyone know what the original registry settings were for WM2003? I applied the speedpatch.reg file but forgot to note the original settings (i know it's stupid and i can hardreset is, but if i can cure it without hardresetting it, it would be great). When i now turn on bt i get the message that bttray.exe cannot be initialized. I have a asus mypal a716 by the way.

Thanks in advance.
