Activesync replacement

Right behind having the big X minimizing (and not having an actual minimize button), my biggest grief is with Activesysnc.

Is there any replacement for this program?

The Palm program installer was much easier and I even replaced that with a great freeware program. You could right click on the prog to install,then choose install to main memory or memory card. Loved it.

A start would be having Activesync just leaving me alone. I want to use it when I want to install-not check if I added address,notes,updates to programs etc...evrytime I dock.

Don't get me wrong-I love my 51v,but I always hesitate to dock because of Activesync. It wants to do too much.
