FYI, there are three seperate and distinct versions of Windows Mobile.
WM for PPC - Devices like the Dell Axim X50 series
WM for PPC Phone Edition - Devices like the Treo 700w and the Cingular 8125 (PPC's that have phone capability)
WM for Smartphone - Devices like the Motorola MPx220 and the Cingular 2125. Devices that are primarily a phone and do not have a touch screen.
Since this thread was about the version of Windows Mobile, my statement is entirely correct that the 700w is not a smartphone device, but a PPC.
If you would like to learn the differences between a smartphone and a PPC, take a look at
www.smartphonethoughts.com and
www.howardforums.com. They know a little more about it then CNN.
Thank you kltye for your correct explanation.
