Need to make up my mind about x51v or Imate JAMin

Everyone has a different experience with any pocket pc and I can say there are as many X51v users as there are frustrated X51v users.

Well, the latest ROM upgrade (A06) is very cool. I am very happy to have a x51v - it's really stable and quick. And I'm very hard to please as I come from the Pocket Loox 720 and, therefore, have very high expectations :)

I just purchased the Jamin, here is my opinions on it vs. my Axim x50v:

a. The screen on the x50v is much better, not only is the resolution is higher but there are also seem to be more colors, and the colors themselves are also more accurate than the Jamin's . Everything displays on the Jamin just seem washed out, cartoonist when comparing to the x50v.

b. Despite having a slower rated CPU, the Jamin is pretty fast. My two main progs: spb Finance and Pocket Informant are very responsive on the Jamin. If you don't plan to watch high quality AVI, the Jamin should do fine.

c. The earpiece (phone)'s volume on the Jamin is very low, hardly audible even in a quiet environment.

Overall, I think the Jamin is where the future is. PDA are phasing out leaving the territory to "communicators" like Jamin .

The X51v with the A12 ROM is as stable and fast as the X50v with WM2003SE, plus it has all the extra features of WM5.

I highly reccomend going with the X51v, and a decent [cheap, free] cellphone as well.
