Stop auto-sync on my X51V

When my computer is on and the cradle is attached to the computer my Axim constantly turns on (maybe every 5 - 10 minutes) and re-syncs.
This is a problem because the screen turns on and stays on.
There must be some sort of control that lets you specify when to sync or sync only when told to sych BUT I just can't find it.
Can anyone help me?
Please give me specific directions since I am new to this windows based platform.

There's a tool out there called "Active Sync Toggle". Run it, disable active sync, pop the Axim in and it'll do nothing but charge. Great tool.

Applied the fix and installed ActiveSync Toggle.
I'll let you all know how it works.
