Struck by Lightning 2½ x's!

Just a minor rant here.

Strike 1: I choose Dell based on assumed reputation and the Axim X51v based on reviews (such as pcmag.com). I almost choose an HP iPAQ.

After easily connecting to my wi-fi in my Condo later however after attempting for the first time to get on some ‘hot spots’ at the mall (I could not deselect from the one the Axim connected to) I found out later from Dell Tech Support that I had a problem with the Axim in selecting wi-fi networks that are available. After much tinkering Dell decided to replace the Axim with a brand new one.


Strike 2: The 2nd Axim also did not work properly. The ‘Lock Button’ did not work. Another call. Finally the 3rd Axim seems to work fine.

Strike 2½: I had a problem with the Adapter plug/Cradle connection. You’ll have to wiggle it carefully to get it to charge, touch it a bit and it will disconnect. Dell agreed to replace it. When they did they sent me everything but what I needed! Another call to Dell to correct it.

Foul: Also Purolator/Dell messed up my deliveries not once but 4x’s! the first time claiming I was not home and other times claiming they had incomplete or wrong information. This despite me calling both Dell and Purolator after the first mistake to ensure they get it right!

Believe it or not besides all this I’m satisfied with the Axim X51v.

I know what you mean...
i've had so many packages not delivered to me because of the lazy asses at the postal service and customs. The package was sitting there for 1.5weeks, i called in literally 5 times to ensure they had the correct shipping address and all the customs paperwork, and dispite that i findout today that they package has been sent back to the shipper.

How retarded do these people have to be to not be able to read a note? really pisses me off, then they take like 5 months to return the money for the shipping (if they do)...
