"Still" loosing the CF card. Any other ideas?

I read the posted link below in the hopes that it would solve my "disappearing CF card" problem. My new x51v sees the Lexar 1GB SD card just fine; but the Lexar 512MB CF card has only been "seen" one time by the x51v, and I'm not sure what the circumstances were that allowed that to happen
http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=112638

As this post suggests...I just got a brand new x51v and it can't "find" the CF card that is installed. I know it at least knows the CF card is there because when I pull out both the SD and CF cards from the unit (when it is off), and re-install just the CF card, the unit turns on (like saying, "Oh, hello." ) But it still doesn't see the CF card.

I'm going to keep looking through postings on people's ideas, but I'm at a loss. Can someone help?

Yes, do the 'fake server' trick listed as a sticky note on this site. It solved my CF loss 100%, and has been that way for over 4 weeks now.

Also try to remove the card, do a soft reset, then put the card back in. This is what I had to do to mine. Good luck!

I did the "fake" server thing...twice. But no dice. The posting says "follow EXACTLY" and I believe I did that. I'll try the soft reset with the card out as discribed above.

I may do a hard reset and try to follow the "fake" server one last time. I'm not brilliant, but the instructions for how to do the fake server seem easy enough to follow. :-) Thanks for the reply.
