Active Sync problems

I'm a new X51v user and am having trouble syncing with the computer. I have :realmad: NEVER sync'd successfully on the first try. I always get one or both of the following error message:
1) server busy code 0x85010017; or
2) critical error, code 0x86000209

Eventually, after repeatedly pressing the sync button, it finally does sync up.

Anyone else have this problem? How to fix....?

I have Activesync 4.1 installed on WinXP+SP2 and have NEVER been able to sync....period. Dell x51v with A06.

Upon initial connection with the x51v, I get a choice to synchronize and to choose which PIM, etc. to sync - whether I choose none or a few or all, ActiveSync would try to sync and would never finish no matter how long I let it run. When I press the Stop button, it will then give me the message 'Stopping', but it never completely stops either.

I can install programs fine while AS is trying to sync or stop it's attempts at synching.

Totally buggy program. I've used an older version of ActiveSync with an older PPC 2002 iPAQ and never once had any problems.

I don't see references to the specific error codes I'm getting. Got any suggestions?

I have had those errors, too. In my case, they seem to be specifically related to e-mail.

Try syncing datasets (contacts, calendar, etc) one at a time to see which one is giving Activesync grief. Then try changing the settings for syincing the items that are causing the problem.

PS. If you do a forum search for those specific error codes, you will find other suggestions.
